Mountain Cabin Plans - Which One is For You?
Mountain cabin plans are also termed, hillside floor plans, or sloped lot floor plans. Whatever you call them, they all have something in common. Mountain cabin plans are used to build a section of the house into the side of a mountain or hill.
While one side of the lower level, or basement is outside in the open light, the other three sides are set into the side of a hill. Most mountain floor plans have this feature, called a walk out basement.
You may also choose to have your mountain cabin plans designed to have no underground at all. It really is about what it is you desire the most. Many hillside floor designs feature a wide open area for maximal outside views.
It is best to have property site chosen first. Before choosing the perfect cabin floor plans, decide if you want a simple cabin in the mountains, or a little more complex, and have it partly built into the side of a hill.
Are there sufficient public utilities available to you, such as electricity, gas, and water? How easily available are they? Or will you need to supply your own? Providing your own will be much more costly, than if you just hook up with already existing power.
In your search for the perfect mountain cabin plans, decide if you want your home partially in a hillside, or not. If so, search for hillside floor plans, or mountain floor plans. If not, search for cabin floor plans.
There is nothing more relaxing than to retreat to a beautiful cabin in the mountains to get away from it all. Just being with nature is well worth it to drive a few more miles to get back to society.
